FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of biotechnology and represents method of obtaining L-amino acid, including cultivation of microorganism, belonging to family Enterobacteriaceae, possessing ability to produce L-amino acid and modified in such a way as to increase activity of glycerol dehydrogenase and dihydroxyacetone kinase in medium, containing glycerol as carbon source, for production and accumulation of L-amino acid in medium or in cells, and collecting L-amino acid from medium or cells, with activity of glycerol dehydrogenase and dihydroxyacetone kinase being increased by increasing quantity of copies of genes, coding said fragments, or substitution of prompter of said genes by stronger promoter, and gene of dihydroxyacetone kinase codes protein, selected from group, consisting of: a) protein, containing amino acid sequence SEQ ID NO: 4; and b) protein, containing amino acid sequence, homologous by not less than 95% to amino acid sequence SEQ ID NO: 4, and protein has activity of dihydroxyacetone kinase.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to obtain at higher level L-amino acids with application of said microorganism, in which dihydroxyacetone kinase uses ATP as phosphate donor.
