FIELD: fire extinguishing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fire extinguishing in ground tanks filled with various combustible liquids, for example, oil, diesel fuel, kerosene, gasoline etc. Essence of the invention consists in the following. Under ground reservoir, below underground level, underground reservoir of larger volume than volume of ground reservoir filled with fire-extinguishing substance is coaxially installed. Ground reservoir is connected to underground reservoir via drain branch pipe with automatic valve. System also includes a pump for supply of fire-extinguishing substance through the delivery pipeline with two valves – upper and lower, supplying fire-extinguishing substance from the underground reservoir to the top of the ground reservoir. In initial (normal) state (when there is no fire) automatic valve of drain branch pipe is in closed position, isolating volumes of ground and underground reservoirs. Pump is switched off, the upper valve of the pressure pipeline is open, and the lower one, which serves for fire-extinguishing substance withdrawal, is closed. In case of fire (fire) or excessive increase of temperature in the ground reservoir, the drain branch pipe valve automatically opens and connects the aboveground and underground reservoirs volumes and the liquid from the ground reservoir starts flowing through the drain branch pipe into the underground reservoir. At the same time pump is automatically connected, it starts to select fire extinguishing substance from underground reservoir and supplies it from above to ground reservoir. Volume of the fire extinguishing substance taken by the pump from the underground reservoir is greater than the volume of flowing liquid from the ground reservoir per unit of time, which creates vacuum in the underground reservoir, thereby increasing the rate of flow of liquid from the ground reservoir into the underground reservoir. When extinguishing fire in objects located near ground reservoir, top pressure valve is closed, automatic drain discharge pipe valve is also closed. Pump is switched and fire extinguishing agent by means of a fire hose mounted on the lower valve, directed to the fire center and fire is extinguished. Crane and pump control is automated and synchronized.
EFFECT: technical effect consists in improvement of efficiency of fire extinguishing in ground reservoirs, as well as efficiency of fire extinguishing of objects located near ground reservoir, in expansion of fire suppression method functional capabilities and in reduction of costs for production and replacement of underground reservoir located under ground reservoir.
