SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wireless communication engineering and can be used to mitigate inter-cell interference. The wireless communication system comprises a first base station having a configuration from a first vendor and a second base station having a configuration from a second vendor. There is a communication channel between the first and second base stations. Configuration of the first base station is adjusted such that the station receives at least one message with interference indicators from the second base station and schedules data transmission based on at least one message with interference indicators. Data transmission scheduling includes determining whether to transmit data using the current resource or delay data transmission.
