METHOD OF TRANSITIONING PACKET-SWITCHED EMERGENCY CALL BETWEEN FIRST AND SECOND TYPES OF WIRELESS ACCESS NETWORKS AND COMMUNICATION NODE USED THEREIN Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC H04W36/14 H04W4/90

Abstract RU 2683493 C2

FIELD: electrical communication engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a communication node. Communication node comprises one or more processors, a communication interface and storage media that are connected to the one or more processors and which contain instructions that are executed by the one or more processors to configure the communication node: pre-register a mobile station in a target wireless access network, when the mobile station is initially connected to the source wireless access network; store information related to a predefined emergency call session, for use in the target wireless access network; in response to the source wireless access network making a decision on the transition of the mobile station, to exchange messages through the communication interface, to ensure that the mobile station transitions from the source wireless access network to the target wireless access network; and use the stored information about a predefined emergency call session to establish an emergency packet-switched call through the target wireless access network without negotiating a packet-switched emergency call context with the target wireless access network, wherein the source wireless access network is an EUTRA (Evolved Universal Terrestrial Radio Access) network, and the target wireless access network is an HRPD (High Rate Packet Data) standard network.

EFFECT: technical result consists in facilitating a packet-switched emergency call through the target wireless access network.
