FIELD: radio engineering, communication.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for transmission of an emergency call with packet switching between wireless access networks of the first and the second types. The method involves the following stages at which preliminary registration of a mobile state is performed in the network of the second type when the mobile station is initially connected to the network of the first type; information is saved, which relates to a pre-determined session of an emergency call to be used in the network of the second type; it is detected that the mobile station participates in implementation of an emergency call with packet switching while the mobile station is connected to the network of the first type; change-over of the mobile station from the network of the first type to the network of the second type is detected; and in response to detection of change-over of the mobile station there sent is a message informing about change-over of the mobile station from the network of the first type to the network of the second type so that emergency call with packet switching can be performed through the network of the second type by using the above information on the pre-determined session of the emergency call. With that, network of the first type is network of EUTRA standard, and network of the second type is network of HRPD standard.

EFFECT: implementation of an emergency call with packet switching through a target network of wireless access.
