FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: non-calcinated quartz ceramics is obtained by preparation of slip from broken quartz glass, formation of raw workpiece by method of casting into gypsum forms, impregnation of raw workpiece with water solution and drying impregnated workpiece. Impregnating solution contains silicon-containing hydrolysable compounds and soluble aluminium salt, with molar ratio of aluminium salt, water and silicon-containing hydrolysable compound provides pH=4÷7 in impregnating solution and molar ratio in solution [Al]/[Si]<0.5. Flexural strength of ceramic tiles constitutes 116-153 kg/cm2.

EFFECT: simplification of non-calcination technology of quartz ceramics and increase of ceramics strength.
