FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: set of rock specimens to be analysed is formed to experimentally define the total porosity of every said specimen under atmospheric conditions and to define longitudinal wave propagation rate and total porosity in said specimens under conditions of stratum simulation. Thereafter, longitudinal wave propagation rate is defined in analysed rock mineral skeleton using the longitudinal wave propagation rate dependence on rock total porosity defined under simulation conditions. Then, fracture porosity is calculated for every said specimen. Now, threshold porosity is defined as the difference between total and fracture porosity.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of determination.
