FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: method includes switching of the farthest flexible run-off of the cathode bus connected to the input anode riser at the front side of the next electrolyser to the cathode bus coming to the output anode riser of the next electrolyser at the front side, then reducing of cross-sections at the remaining run-offs of the cathode bus coming to the input anode riser of the next electrolyser and cutting of the outermost bus of the anode riser installed at the input end wall of the dummy side of the previous electrolyser in the upper and lower part of the anode riser. Thereafter is it insulated and connected in the lower part to the cathode bus coming to the output riser of the previous electrolyser and in the upper part it is connected to the previous place. Switching of flexible run-offs from the front side and anode bus from the dummy side of the aluminium electrolyser is made simultaneously. Then it is necessary to disassemble the anode riser located at the output end wall of the dummy side and cathode bus coming to the riser till the point of connection with the outermost bus of the anode riser placed at the input end wall of the dummy side of the previous electrolyser, thereafter all input and output risers at the front and dummy sides are connected by junctions. In order to connect flexible cathode run-offs to the cathode bus, buses of the anode riser with cathode bus and anode risers are filled by melted aluminium.

EFFECT: speeding-up assembly and disassembly of the busbar system and providing stable operation for the whole series of electrolysers.
