FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: heating of limestone, baking to produce lime and its cooling is carried out in a counterflow with products of gaseous fuel combustion and air. Gaseous fuel and oxidising gas are peripherally supplied via fuel-burning devices installed in the furnace lining at two levels, and the oxidising gas at the upper level of fuel-burning devices is a mixture of air and recirculation gases supplied from a smoke-exhausting furnace track. Fuel and oxidising gas supply by fuel-burning devices of the lower level is carried out to the central part of the shaft, at the distance from the furnace lining equal to 0.3-0.5 of the inner shaft diameter. As oxidising gas in the fuel-burning devices of the lower level, atmospheric air is used in the amount that corresponds to value of air flow coefficient λlower=0.35-0.5.
EFFECT: reduction of specific flow of fuel with preservation of high extent of lime baking, provision of long-term operation of furnace without local wear of furnace lining, which diameter in the baking zone that makes 3 m and more.
