FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to separation of solid particles from ICE exhaust gas flow. Proposed device (1) separates particles in the main direction (x) of exhaust gas flow (3, 12, 13) flowing through said separator (1). It comprises heat transfer zones (a, b) differing in heat accumulation capacity and/or heat conductivity and/or properties of heat transfer from exhaust gas flow (3, 12, 13) to separator (1). Said properties allow transfer of definite amount of heat from exhaust gas flow (3, 12, 13) to appropriate separator section corresponding to every zone. Separator (1) has multiple flow-through channels (6). Said flow-through channels (6) incorporate preset shape built-in element (14, 17, 18) extending through preset partial section of the flow main direction (x). Said element forms heat transfer zone (b) with heat transfer properties other than those of one zone (a) bordering the flow main direction (x). Note also that built-in element (14, 17, 18) features the shape of mid wall or cooling rib, or spherical shape, or ball shape, or blade shape.

EFFECT: higher thermal stability of separator.
