SUBSTANCE: here is disclosed separator of solid particles for separation of solid particles from flow of exhaust gases of internal combustion engine. Also, separator (1) of solid particles is designed for exhaust gases passing at least in separate zones of flow (2, 7). Various flow zones (5, 6) are formed in separator of solid particles (1) relative to conditions of flow passing. In essence solid particles (3, 4) of various specified dimension and/or various specified weight are separated from flow (2, 7) of exhaust gases in various flow zones (5, 6). Various, preferably, spaced flow zones (5, 6) are formed in separator (1) for discrete separation of specified fine solid particles (3) by means of in essence diffusion and, contrary to that, specified larger and/or heavier coarse solid particles (4) on base of their inertia. Also there is disclosed the procedure for separation of solid particles from flow of exhaust gases of internal combustion engine wherein flow of exhaust gases passes through separator of solid particles (1).
EFFECT: simple and reliable separation of particles of all dimensions, including most fine and most large or heavy particles from flow of exhaust gases.
