SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wireless communication. Method of selecting a transit node (RN) comprises steps of: receiving, at a remote wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU), a broadcast detection message from one or more RNs, wherein the message comprises a service code indicating the types of service supported by the RN; selecting RN from one or more RN based on the measured link quality of the received detection message and the received service code; and establishing connection between remote WTRU and base station by selected RN.
EFFECT: technical result consists in provision of possibility for user equipment to detect and select transit node (RN), offering specific service.
