FIELD: radio engineering and communications.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio communications. Wireless transmission/reception relay unit (WTRU) acts as a relay between a network and a remote WTRU. Relay WTRU receives from the remote WTRU a request for a temporary identifier of a group of mobile communication subscribers (TMGI). TMGI request message includes a TMGI, a priority level of each ProSe packet associated with the TMGI, etc. Relay WTRU receives from the network an enhanced multimedia broadcast multicast service (eMBMS) data packet associated with the TMGI, applies the received priority level of each ProSe packet associated with the TMGI to the received eMBMS data packet, relays the eMBMS data packet to the remote WTRU based on the priority level of each ProSe packet and forwards the eMBMS data packet to the remote WTRU over the PC5 interface.
EFFECT: determining the priority value of each ProSe packet (near-range service) in a ProSe communication system.
