SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods, an access point and a server for establishing a connection between a terminal and a network. The method involves receiving, from the terminal, a service provider request comprising a MAC address of the terminal and a service set identifier; sending, to a master server, request information pertaining to the service provider request; receiving, from the master server, acknowledgement information relating to available service providers capable of operatively connecting the terminal to the data communication network via the access point; sending, to the terminal, a service provider request response comprising at least one service set identifier identifying the available service providers and related to the received acknowledgement information; receiving, from the terminal, data connection information pertaining to establishing the data connection between the terminal and the data communication network via the access point using a selected service provider from the available service providers; and establishing a data connection between the terminal and the data communication network via the access point by using the selected service provider.

EFFECT: high efficiency of distributing network operator services.
