FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to marking device for application of code marks on timber. Marking device comprises several adjustable marking components each including marking element to apply the mark on timber piece that can be displaced between different positions or states so that a version of code mark can be applied by said marking device. At least one of said marking components comprises rotary marking element that can apply asymmetric mark on timber piece and be set at different turning position relative to marking elements of the other marking components. Invention covers also logging plant with above described device.
EFFECT: better code marking.
