FIELD: woodworking industry.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the woodworking industry, in particular to the application of code marking on a log. Extraction or creation of a unique code is performed at the first moment. By means of a location determination device, information about the location of the relative geographical position of a portable manual log marking tool at the specified first moment is indicated. The code is applied to the log in the form of a corresponding code marking by means of the log marking tool at the second moment, and a time value is automatically set, representing the time elapsed between the specified first moment and the specified second moment. The specified time values are compared with a set threshold time value. The code is stored as an authenticated code in a database associated with location information, when the specified time value is less than the threshold time value.
EFFECT: convenience of processing logs is increased.
