FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to marking device. Marking device comprises percussion lever provided with percussion head at outer free end and percussion lever actuator. Percussion lever is articulated with the base via appropriate hinge. Percussion lever can be turned about pivot pin by actuator and hinge from idle position to percussion position for percussion head to strike the object to mark the latter. Said hinge allows percussion lever pivot pin to displace outward so that spacing between said pin and said base increases at percussion lever turn from idle to working position. Logging device comprises above described marking device to mark the trunk end edge face surface, said trunk being supported by gripping elements.
EFFECT: ease of marking.
