FIELD: instrumentation.
SUBSTANCE: in one of the implementation versions an ultrasonic flowmeter comprises a branch pipe fitted by a through hole and a mounting seat of a transducer passing from the outer surface of the branch pipe to the through hole. Additionally the ultrasonic flowmeter comprises a transducer unit set in the mounting seat of the transducer. The transducer unit has a central axis and comprises a holder for the transformer with the first end being placed near the through hole of the branch pipe and the second end being distanced from the through hole of the branch pipe. Also, the transducer unit comprises a piezoelectric module with a piezoelectric cell. The piezoelectric module is connected to the transducer unit and generally is extended in axial direction from the first end of the transducer holder. Additionally the transducer unit comprises a transformer module with a transformer. The transformer module is connected to the transducer unit and is set in axial direction at a distance from the piezoelectric module.
EFFECT: improved operation and maintenance reliability as well as higher quality of ultrasound signal transmitted to the fluid medium which facilitates the measurement accuracy improvement.
