SUBSTANCE: ultrasonic flow meter for measurement of fluid medium flow in a pipeline includes a branch pipe having a through hole and a mounting seat of a converter. The mounting seat of the converter passes along the central axis from an open end in a through hole to a closed end that is distance in relation to the through hole. Besides, the flow meter includes an acoustic converter located in the mounting seat of the converter. The converter includes a piezoelectric element. Besides, the flow meter includes a drain hole interconnected via fluid medium with the mounting seat of the converter. The drain hole is located in an axial direction between the open end and the closed end of the mounting seat of the converter. Besides, the flow meter includes a drain tube having an inlet end connected to the drain hole and an outlet end that is opposite to the inlet end. The drain hole has the possibility of discharging the liquid from the mounting seat of the converter to the inlet end of the drain tube.
EFFECT: possibility of installing an ultrasonic flow meter in small amount of various positions and orientations with simultaneous minimisation of liquid accumulation at least in one mounting seat of the converter.
