FIELD: instrumentation.

SUBSTANCE: ultrasonic flowmeter to measure flow rate of a fluid medium in a pipeline. As per some implementation examples the ultrasonic flowmeter comprises a branch pipe, a transducer unit and a mounting seat plug unit. The branch pipe is fitted by a through hole and a mounting seat of the transducer passing between the through hole and the outer surface of the branch pipe. The transducer unit is set in the transducer mounting seat and comprises a transformer, a piezoelectric cell and an electrical connection set between them. The mounting seat plug unit is connected to the transducer unit. The mounting seat plug unit receives the cable connected to the transducer unit and is spring-loaded for the movement of the mounting seat plug unit in the direction of the transducer unit to counteract the electric disconnection of the cable from the transducer unit.

EFFECT: improved quality of ultrasound signals and consequently higher measurement accuracy.
