FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical imaging systems. A system generating an attenuation correction (AC) map template (70) for the attenuation correction in a radioisotope image (34) caused by equipment components (72) in the field of vision of a radioisotope scanner (14) in the process of radioisotope scanning, comprising a processor (20) which generates the AC map template (70) of the equipment component (72) from the communication data (42) generated by a radioisotope source (16) placed on a rotary support which rotates around the equipment component, and prepared by the radioisotope scanning of the equipment component (72); the AC map template (70) is stored in the memory (22); that is followed by the iteration generation of the unique AC map template (70) for each of a number of various equipment components (72) with the templates (70) stored in the template collection (46) in the memory (22) for recall and use by the operator.
EFFECT: higher quality of the PET image.
