FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises the following steps: a) damping of stick-slip vibrations with the use of a drilling mechanism located at the top part of a drill stem, b) control of rotary speed of a drilling mechanism with the use of a proportional-integral controller, c) adjustment of a proportional-integral controller to make sure that the drilling mechanism absorbs bigger part or torsional energy from a drill stem at frequency equal or close to basic frequency of stick-slip vibrations, d) reduction of effective inertia of a drilling mechanism; at that, damping effect of the drilling mechanism is increased for frequencies higher than basic frequency of stick-slip vibrations.
EFFECT: adjustment of PI controller for ensuring damping of energy of torsional waves at stick-slip frequency of close to it.
