FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to derivatives of 4-isopropylphenylglucite, which do not tend to accumulate in organism and which inhibit SGLT1 activity, suppressing postprandial hyperglycaemia (or impaired glucose tolerance) due to inhibition of glucose absorption in the small intestine, due to which compounds in accordance with claimed invention can, for instance, slow down development of diabetes or metabolic syndrome or treat said diseases. Said derivatives of 4-isopropylphenylglucite are represented by the following formula , where R1 stands for hydrogen atom or C1-4alkyl group, R2 stands for hydrogen atom or methyl group, R3 stands for "C1-4alkyl group, substituted with aminogroup(s) or di-C1-4alkylaminogroup(s)" or piperidyl group, and R4 stands for hydrogen atom or, as an alternative, R3 and R4, together with nitrogen atom, to which they are bound, form piperidine group or piperazinyl group, which can be substituted with C1-4alkyl group(s) or dimethylaminogroup(s) or are pharmaceutically acceptable salts of said compounds.
EFFECT: obtaining 4-isopropylphenylglucite derivatives.
