FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: chain drive includes a body, an engine and a reduction gear mounted on the base on a single frame. The body encloses a mechanism converting rotational motion into reciprocating and including driving and driven sprockets embraced by closed-link pulling chain. The last one is coupled with a carriage joined with counterbalance installed in guiding rails linked through a coupling element with the rod hanging assembly. It contains a mechanism for rolling away the drive from the well head. The carriage is equipped with tapered bearings, and two carriage axes out of four are made with an eccentric. In addition, the drive includes a connected with the carriage plunger with a clip with cheeks and a jaw larger than the vertical deviation value of one sprocket in respect of another, with the cheek width ensuring plunger stability against distortion at contact with the chain, with a taper rod and a tapered bearing close to the clip of the larger size and far from the clip of the smaller size. Ratio of the jaw width to the cheek width and to the clip thickness is 1:(0.48-0.50):(1.50-1.53), respectively. Axial and bending loads on the structure elements are eliminated.
