FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: passive safety system contains external safety airbag with housing, gas generators/control unit, G-sensor and electric power source, has two independent side passive safety systems, each one of which is provided with G-sensor switch, and housings of safety airbags of these independent side passive safety systems, have box-like section and are installed horizontally at left and right edges of roof by bus length. Gas-filled external safety airbags encompass side parts of bus from roof panel to bottom body edge and have openings at passenger and driver doors.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of bus protection due to possibility to switch on the proposed passive safety system by driver directly at the moment when he has found hazard of lateral impact.
