SUBSTANCE: method involves determining a biophysical characteristic of dry blood stain extract. The biophysical characteristic is presented by an optical density of the dry blood stain extract at a wave length of 400, 410 and 420 nm. What is additionally determined is an age of the blood stain. That is followed by calculating a probability (P) of a living individual's blood stain formation; if P≥0.95, the living individual's blood stain formation is stated, and if P<0.95, the corpse's blood stain formation is stated.
EFFECT: method enables providing more accurate and objective assessment of the probability of the living individual's blood stain formation, and an ease to implement.
