FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method involves measuring an optical density of a blood stain extract and additionally typing a carrier object cloth. If a blood stain is found on a cotton carrier object, the optical density of the blood stain extract is measured at wave lengths of 400 nm and 410 nm; if the blood stain is found on a woollen, jeans or knitted carrier object, the blood stain extract is measured at wave lengths of 380 nm and 410 nm. The age of the blood stain is determined by the correspondent formulas.

EFFECT: method enables providing more accurate determination of the age of the blood stain on textile material and ease to implement.
