FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, namely to a device which may be used to prepare conjunctival imprinted smears. An eye (2) sampling device (10) comprises a carrier assembly (12) having a sampling surface (11). The carrier assembly is poroelastic when passing from an initial position to a sampling position and deformable so that when used for sampling, the sampling surface adjoining a sampling portion (2) in the sampling position is peeled off therefrom when passing from the sampling position to the initial position.
EFFECT: invention is easy to use, however enables preparing the imprinted smears reliably and reproducibly.
