METHOD OF SELECTION AND PREPARATION OF A SAMPLING OF CELLS OF CONJUNCTIVES FOR CARRYING OUT BACTERIOLOGICAL, VIROLOGICAL AND IMMUNOLOGICAL RESEARCHES Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC G01N1/30 G01N33/48

Abstract RU 2643955 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the selection of samples, in particular to the selection and preparation of a sample of conjunctival cells for bacteriological, virological and immunological studies to identify the etiology of inflammatory diseases of the anterior part of the eye. Method of selection and preparation of a sample of cells of the conjunctiva includes sampling of the material by a probe in the region of the greatest cell density when the lower eyelid is stretched by moving the loop along the conjunctiva of the lower eyelid, the lower transitional fold and in the region of the lacrimal flesh with at least two sliding movements. After that, the material is placed in a test tube with 0.1 ml of physiological solution, stirred, settled at room temperature for at least 4 hours prior to sample analysis, and sampling and placing the sample into the handpiece chamber of a manual automated cell counter. Material is collected after local anesthesia with a solution of proximethacaine.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to simplify the method of preparing conjunctival cells, reduce invasiveness and increase the reliability (standardization) of sampling.
