FIELD: physics; control.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an access control device, primarily for a switchgear cabinet system, having a central unit (10), which is designed to receive and process access authorisation data stored on personal transponders (20) and to output release signals via a wireless signal transmission link and to release a corresponding interlocking unit. The technical result is achieved due to that the device further includes at least one input station (30) having an input unit (31), which is connected or is configured to be connected to the central unit (10) for transmission of input data different from the access authorisation data to the central unit through a wireless connection (13), the authentication device is designed to operate in two levels and has another testing level which is designed for direct or indirect comparison of the input data with the access authorisation data and to check match between the access authorisation data and the input data with respect to access authorisation, and the central unit (10) is designed to output the release signals when access authorisation has been established after checking using the other testing level.
EFFECT: improved safety owing to further verification of access authorisation data based on input data.
