The device (620, 720, 820) has a processor (210), a location determining device to determine a geographical location of the device (620, 720, 820) and a communication device (320) to wirelessly transmit data, the processor (210) being configured to determine that the device (620, 720, 820) is located in a vehicle which has vacated a parking place and, in response, transmit a message (625, 725, 825) via the communication device (620, 720, 820) indicating the location of the parking place.
