SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a server and a method for determining parking recommendations for a destination on a map. In the method, a set of past routes, each of which ends at this destination, selected on the map by users associated with electronic devices, is obtained from the database, taking into account the destination; the server defines a set of endpoints associated with a set of past routes, each of which represents the actual endpoint of at least one electronic device user who chose a past route to this destination on the map, and represents a possible parking recommendation; getting a map road graph from the database, which includes a set of map objects, each of which is characterized by the location of the object and the object class indicating the type of structure of this object on the map; clustering by the server of a set of endpoints in order to obtain a set of clusters, each of which contains a subset of endpoints, while each cluster of at least part of the set of clusters is associated with at least one map object and with the location of this object, and clustering is performed based on: destination, endpoints, object locations and map object classes; receiving a request from the electronic device for the current route to the destination, including a reference to the point of departure; determining by the server the current route on the map from the point of departure to the destination and at least one cluster containing a subset of endpoints as a parking recommendation for this destination; and sending to the electronic device the current route, including a parking recommendation.
