FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method for polymer stent attachment onto a balloon catheter provides using a device in the form of an integral combination of a cylinder with an external diameter equal to an internal diameter of the stent in the initial condition, and adjoining one of the bases of the cylinder with its greater base equal to the diameter of the cylinder, a truncated cone, in a lesser base of which there is an axial hole. The stent in the initial condition is placed on the cylinder with the external diameter equal to the internal diameter of the stent. The stent is taped up. Then, the stent is wrapped around above the tape with an elastic flexible strap with turns touching. A catheter with a blown-off balloon is inserted into the axial hole of the above truncated cone. The stent is moved along the conical portion onto the balloon alongside with removing the balloon from the axial hole in the device at a rate equal to a travel rate of the stent. The above balloon with the stent placed therein is placed in an oven, wherein it is heated to a temperature to provide the stent transition into the plastic state. Thereafter, it is cooled down, and the strap and tape are removed.
EFFECT: providing considerable deformations of polymer thin-walled stents in the radical direction without disturbing an exterior geometry.
