FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: inventions relate to medical equipment, specifically a medical device comprising a hollow structure and delivering a catheter for treating blood vessel segments of the vascular system. Medical device for occluding or blocking segments of a blood vessel comprises a catheter and a compressed hollow metal structure attached to the catheter. Metal structure, when expanded, comprises one segment having a wall with an inner surface defining a cavity, and an outer surface with an opening defined by the wall, which allows passage of a fluid into the cavity. Cavity of the hollow metal structure and the lumen of the catheter can be connected by a fluid, and the passage of fluid from the catheter into the cavity of the hollow metal structure results in its expansion. Medical device is configured such that the expanded hollow metal structure and catheter can be disconnected. Expanded hollow metal structure has sufficient rigidity to remain in the expanded state when it is implanted in a living organism in an unclosed configuration. In accordance with a second embodiment of the medical device for occluding or blocking segments of a blood vessel, the compressed hollow metal structure and the catheter are connected by a friction joint, without an adhesive joint, soldering or welding, wherein the metal structure has a neck which defines the opening. According to a third embodiment, the medical device for occluding or blocking blood vessel segments further comprises a component configured to separate the expanded hollow metal structure and the catheter, wherein the actuation of the component cuts or tears a portion of the expanded hollow metal structure, which leads to the separation of the expanded hollow metal structure and the catheter. According to a fourth embodiment, the medical device for occluding or blocking blood vessel segments further comprises a component configured to separate the expanded hollow metal structure and the catheter, the component being configured to cause separation of the expanded metal structure and catheter by dissolving a portion of the expanded hollow metal structure by electrolysis. In accordance with a fifth embodiment of the medical device for occluding or blocking segments of a blood vessel the catheter is attached to a compressed hollow metal structure by welding or soldering between the metal structure and the catheter, the device further comprising a component for separating the expanded hollow metal structure and the catheter, the component being configured to cause separation of the expanded metal structure and catheter by dissolving the weld joint or solder by electrolysis, which leads to the separation of the expanded hollow metal structure and the catheter. According to a sixth embodiment of the medical device for occluding or blocking segments of a blood vessel, the catheter is attached to the compressed hollow metal structure by adhesion, the device further comprising a component for separating the expanded hollow metal structure and the catheter, the component being configured to cause separation of the metal structure and catheter by heating and melting the adhesive compound. According to a seventh embodiment of the medical device for occluding or blocking segments of a blood vessel, the wall thickness of the hollow metal structure is in the range of 3 mcm to about 180 mcm. In accordance with an eighth embodiment of the medical device for occluding or blocking segments of a blood vessel, the hollow metal structure has a wall, the thickness of which is in the range of 3 mcm to about 180 mcm, and the catheter has a lumen capable of allowing passage of a fluid, having a distal end attached to a hollow structure, and a proximal end that can be connected to a fluid source and configured such that the fluid can pass through the lumen of the catheter into the cavity of the hollow structure. According to a ninth embodiment of the medical device for occluding or blocking segments of a blood vessel, the hollow metal structure has a wall with an inner surface defining a cavity, and a neck defining an opening that allows fluid to pass into the cavity of the hollow structure, wherein the wall thickness is in the range of 3 mcm to about 80 mcm, and the catheter has a distal end attached to the hollow metal structure by friction. According to a tenth embodiment of the medical device for occluding or blocking segments of a blood vessel, the catheter has a distal end connected to a hollow metal structure by welding or soldering, the device further comprising an insulated wire conductor for transmitting an electric current, which extends from at least the proximal end of the catheter to at least its distal end along the longitudinal axis of the catheter, which is electrically connected by welding or soldering between the hollow structure and the catheter. According to an eleventh embodiment of the medical device for occluding or blocking segments of a blood vessel, the catheter has a distal end attached to the hollow metal structure by an adhesive, soldering or welding, the device further comprising an insulated conductor for transmitting an electric current, which extends from at least the proximal end of the catheter to at least the distal end of the catheter along the longitudinal axis of the catheter, which is electrically connected to the hollow structure. According to the twelfth embodiment of the medical device for occluding or blocking blood vessel segments, the catheter has a distal end attached to a hollow metal structure by an adhesive or glue, the device further comprising a component configured to separate the expanded hollow metal structure from the catheter by cutting or tearing a portion of the hollow structure.
EFFECT: inventions are easy to implement, lead to more rapid, controlled and complete occlusion, have low risk of restoring blood flow in the vessel, migration of the device or other complications and may have a reasonable price.
