FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment, namely to a method for fixing a stent on a balloon for transluminal delivery and a stent-balloon system obtained using said method. Stent is preferably made of metal and can contain a polymer drug coating, including a biodegradable drug coating. Method of fixing the stent on the balloon includes the following steps: forming a stent-balloon system by placing the balloon in the inner cavity of the stent so that the balloon is in contact with the inner surface of the stent; placing the stent-balloon system in a crimping cavity formed by the crimping blades and having a first inner diameter; reducing inner diameter of crimping cavity to second inner diameter; pressure of 3 atm to 12 atm is fed into the cylinder; increasing the inner diameter of the crimping cavity to a third inner diameter while continuously supplying pressure to the cylinder; reducing inner diameter of crimping cavity to fourth inner diameter; wherein first inner diameter is larger than third inner diameter while third inner diameter is larger than second inner diameter and fourth inner diameter. Stent-balloon system for percutaneous transluminal delivery of a stent, characterized by a detachment force of not less than 0.45 N, comprises a stent and a balloon placed in the inner cavity of the stent so that the balloon contacts the inner surface of the stent; where the stent is fixed on the balloon by means of repeated application to the stent of a radially directed compressive force, divided by a decrease of said force with continuous supply of pressure into the balloon.

EFFECT: development of a method for fixing a stent on a balloon, which enables to create a stent-balloon system, having a low delivery profile and high reliability of fixing the stent on the balloon, where the stent is a metal stent, including a drug-coated stent.
