FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to constructions of chemical reactors with mechanical mixing devices and can be used in chemical and relative to it industries for carrying out different catalytic processes, in particular for a liquid phase purification of styrene fraction from phenylacetylene admixture by a method of catalytic selective hydration of styrene fraction. A reactor contains a vertical case, branch pieces for supply of styrene fraction and hydrogen, a drive of a mechanical mixer, installed on the case lid in its axis, with a vertical shaft, passed through the case lid, and a catalyst, loaded into the case, with the catalyst being manufactured from a glass-woven material in the form of a belt, placed on a cylindrical net cowling, installed vertically coaxially to the shaft of the mechanical mixer in the middle part of the case. The catalyst contains in its composition catalytically active metals from the group Ni, Cu and metals of platinum group at the level of 0.05-1.0 wt %. The reactor is provided with a thermostatic system, made in the form of a case-enveloping casing, providing support of temperature of the hydrated styrene fraction in the reactor not higher than 50°C when the heat-carrier is pumped through its jacket.
EFFECT: invention provides increase of the reactor productivity and simplification of its construction.
