FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automotive synchromesh gearboxes. automotive gearbox contains casing, main drive shaft with ring gear coupled with gearwheel of drive of intermediate shaft with gears pressed on it which are coupled with gearwheels of secondary shaft. Cycle of periodic engagement of each gear up to gear mating teeth return to initial position is determined by relation: n1=n°kz2/|Δz| when Δz≠0, where: n1- is rotation speed of gear; n° - integer number of gear revolutions nearest to gear ratio; k is minimum integral multiplier wherein kz2/|Δz| is integer; z2 is number of wheel teeth; |Δz| is module of circumferential shift of initial gear teeth per number of gear revolutions n°; Δz=z2-n°z1; z1 is number of gear teeth.
EFFECT: higher back-to-back endurance of teeth and increased life time.
