FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: control method for rail vehicle which has drive with several driving units according to which the driving units are connected to and disconnected from drive so that sum of driving units actuating forces is greater than tractive force. It is proposed to calculate required tractive force depending on line of march for separate portions of line of march, and to change number of switched on driving units during movement and to adjust to corresponding required tractive force.
EFFECT: lower energy consumption and higher reliability of drive.
