FIELD: railway transport.
SUBSTANCE: during initial acceleration of train specific resistance of train is calculated by vehicle-carried computer basing on analysis of its reaction to locomotive control chosen by driver. Then traction problem is solved under cyclic conditions to get optimum train diagram v=f(s) which has minimum speed variance D[v]for preset time of arrival to point of destination. Locomotive control conditions are cyclically chosen to obtain maximum weighted mean efficiency of locomotive on preset section of way at optimum train diagram. Recommendations are presented on display for information of driver or are introduced into train automatic driving control system. With train running, by reaction of train to control commands, dependence of its specific resistance from speed is defined more accurately and train diagram is optimized by correcting control conditions.
EFFECT: reduced power consumption for traction at preset time of arrival to point of destination.
