METHOD OF CONNECTING TAPES Russian patent published in 2014 - IPC B29D29/00 F16G3/10

Abstract RU 2520862 C1

FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: connection method involves making of longitudinal grooves and ridges on the tape surfaces to be connected, application of adhesive material on the said surfaces, placement of the first tape on a bench support with the surface to be connected being set upwards, covering of the first tape by the second tape with the surface to be connected being set downwards, matching of the first tape ridges with the second tape grooves, pressing of the tapes. At first the second tape is bent in longitudinal direction with the prominence oriented downwards and then it is laid over the first tape in the bent state and straightened. As an alternative both tapes are bent in longitudinal directions with their prominences towards each other, then they are approached and laid together in the bent state, afterwards the second tape is straightened, bent in the opposite direction and pressed to the first tape.

EFFECT: improved processability of tape connection.
