FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automotive cruise control systems. At control over proposed system, carrier (1) is driven at preset speed (Vpreset) by actuated system. Carrier (1) first position (A) is defined at uphill motion when decelerated carrier speed drops to first speed (Vmin), lower than preset speed and deceleration reaches zero or carrier just starts acceleration to preset speed. Desirable speed (Vincreased) is defined at second position (C1, C2) at downhill motion at first length (y1, y2) after overcoming the crest. Proceeding from desirable speed minimum speed at crest (Vmin1, Vmin2, Vmin3) is calculated to reach desirable speed with minimum or zero fuel consumption at first length (y1, y2). Carrier (1) speed is controlled at second length (x) between first position (A) and crest (B) to make carrier (1) reach minimum speed (Vmin1, Vmin2, Vmin3) at overcoming the crest. Carrier speed is maintained at second length lower that preset speed.
EFFECT: perfected cruise control.
