SUBSTANCE: dispenser (2) for the web of absorbent paper, napkin or non-woven material is proposed. The dispenser (2) comprises a casing (6) with a holding device (16) for obtaining a roll (3), and the holding device (16) provides the axis of rotation of the roll in the distribution of the web. The dispenser additionally comprises a drive roll (26) extending in a direction parallel to the axis of rotation of the roll, which abuts against the roll (3). The dispenser (2) also comprises an engaging roll (28) extending parallel to the drive roll (26). The drive (26) and the engaging (28) rolls are located to form a dispensing passageway (30) for the web. The dispenser (2) is made with the ability of grasping and pulling by the user of the dispensing end (32) of the web from the roll (3).
