FIELD: radio engineering, communication.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio communication. The method involves determining whether a target base station associated with a target serving cell is able to support a preconfigured communication arrangement, and if not, providing a control message from the target base station to the user equipment on said serving cell change, said control message encoding an indication to cause the user equipment to establish an alternative communication arrangement.
EFFECT: high reliability of handover from a source serving cell to a target serving cell.
