FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: short fragments of the BLM gene of the length up to 200 base pairs are amplified which is followed by a high-resolution melting with a stage of heteroduplex formation optimised for the BLM gene: flash heat up to 95°C and slow cool down to 50°C; one fragment with an aberrant melting profile is selected for sequencing; the selected fragment is sequenced, and if observing the BLM gene mutation, a genetic predisposition to breast cancer is predicted.
EFFECT: method provides more accurate detection of the mutation; it is simple in implementation and high-informative.
