FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of biotechnology. Disclosed is a method for diagnosis of predisposition to human breast cancer from a population of central part of Russia based on PCR-RFLP. Method involves recovering DNA from a pre-selected biological material of the patient, carrying out three PCR reactions with three sets of primers for different regions of BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes, restriction analysis of the obtained amplicons, visualizing the restriction products by electrophoresis. Restriction enzymes used form unique restriction fragments in the presence of a mutation and normal, which is why a relative risk of developing hereditary breast cancer in a patient is evaluated.
EFFECT: invention provides detecting predisposition to breast cancer for 4_5–6 hours (depending on the selected DNA extraction method) without the need to sequester DNA samples, and can be used for diagnosis.
