FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: accumulator includes shaft on which four-rayed carrier is fixed and sun gear capable to rotate around shaft and free-wheel clutch providing unidirectional rotation of sun gear are installed. At the ends of four-rayed carrier axes are fixed on which rotatable satellite gears are installed. The satellite gears are engaged with sun gear. The satellite gears are mounted on axes with formation of cavities in which potential energy accumulators are accommodated. These accumulators are made in the form of springs wound around axes and attached by their ends to axes and satellite gears. Shaft is installed with possibility of axial rotation. At one its end, double-sided electromagnetic friction clutch consisting of cartridge with pads for contact and two half-couplings is installed: one half-coupling is rigidly connected with shaft, and the other one - with sun gear. Working surfaces of half-couplings contain electromagnetic coils and are installed with possibility of contacting with pad. The cartridge is connected with power-takeoff shaft. At the other end of shaft, friction clutch for periodical stopping shaft rotation and compression springs providing neutral shaft position are installed.

EFFECT: decrease in vehicle fuel consumption.
