FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: mechanical energy accumulator includes shaft (1) on which four-rayed arm (2) is rigidly fixed and drum (4) and free-wheel clutch (19) are installed. On the ends of four-rayed arm (2) rests are fixed (5). In the interior of drum compression springs (7) are placed, the ends of which connect in pairs the rests (5) of the arm (2) and the rests (8) of drum (4). Shaft (1) is installed with possibility of axial movement. On one end of shaft there is two-way electromagnetic friction clutch (10) consisting of cartridge (11) and two half-clutches (13, 14). Half-clutch (13) is rigidly connected with shaft, and half-clutch (14) - with drum (4). Working surfaces of half-clutches contain electromagnetic coils (15, 16) and contact with pads (12) of cartridge. The cartridge is connected with power-take-off shaft (20). On the other end of shaft (1), friction clutch (17) and compression springs (18) are installed.

EFFECT: invention will permit to lower fuel consumption in engine due to energy accumulation during regenerative braking with subsequent energy use for vehicle breakaway.
