FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: pre- and postoperative blood examination is performed. The blood is analysed for pre- and postoperative 6-month serum lactoferrin is determined. If the analysis shows the postoperative lactoferrin concentration up to 1.1 mg/l and less, a high probability of the fertility recovery is predicted. If the postoperative lactoferrin concentration is preserved at a high level of 1.2 mg/l and more, a low probability of the fertility recovery persists despite the conducted treatment.
EFFECT: method is relatively minimally invasive, as it requires no laparoscopic approach otherwise widely used for diagnostic purposes if having endometriosis suspected, or if diagnosing its recurrences; it also requires no special conditions for blood sampling, except those used when determining most clinical values.
