FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: this furnace comprises lined shaft with heating, annealing and cooling zones. It includes air-cooled beam with aid feed opening located in cooling zone. Core and peripheral fuel combustion devices are arranged in several ties. Gas distribution ceramic core in cooling zone is made of refractory material on special binder of self-propagating high-temperature synthesis of CBC-mortar some 2-3 metres above top tier of fuel combustion device. Core comprises straight one-piece web with its base resting on water-cooled beam, said web being made of two walls separated by temperature seam, and wall element crossing said web and composed by two separate arc-shape walls. The latter have one wing resting the shaft lining while another wing fits in slots made on both sides at one-piece web with clearance for temperature strain compensation at joints. Lined shaft cross-section features ellipsoidal shape. Said gas distribution core is furnished with extra second one-piece straight web. One of said core rests on separate air-cooled beam with cooling air feed openings. All one-piece webs are directed in lined shaft small axis while said crossing wall element is located along shaft long axis.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of the furnace and quality of finished products.
