FIELD: furnaces.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to shaft furnaces and can be used in metallurgy, chemical, sugar industry, building materials industry. Shaft furnace for burning lump materials comprises a metal casing, refractory-lined shaft with heating, burning and cooling zones, gas-distributing ceramic core, peripheral burners, loading and unloading devices. It is equipped with a central burner located on the furnace cover, gas-distributing ceramic core is made in the form of a cylindrical column located along the vertical axis of the furnace passing through the heating and burning zones and resting on the air-cooled beams in the cooling zone. Core has an internal heat channel with holes in the burning zone for the exit of combustion products into the furnace, is connected to the central burner and is equipped with arched piers, which are located crosswise above the upper heating tier in the furnace shaft and one wing of which rests on the shaft lining, and the other one – on the gas-distribution core.
EFFECT: higher quality of burning of lump material due to more even distribution of combustion products in the furnace.
